The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia hosted its 29th Annual Solomon and Sylvia Bronstein Seminar for Professionals on Friday, Sept. 6 at the Hilton Philadelphia City Ave.

The event brought together 120 local professionals who play a vital role in strengthening and securing the future of the Jewish community through their expertise in wealth planning.

“The Bronstein Seminar has long been an end of summer highlight for local professional advisors in Greater Philadelphia, offering an opportunity for networking, and to hear from experts in the wealth planning field,” said Jewish Federation’s Chief Planned Giving Officer Jennifer Brier. “Our network of professional advisors have become trusted partners in ensuring the future of our Jewish community locally and in Israel.”

This year’s featured speaker Lawrence Brody, senior counsel at Harrison LLP, delivered a highly informative presentation titled, “Top 20 - Or So - Life Insurance Planning Mistakes and How to Avoid Them.” Brody’s insights provided attendees with practical knowledge, focusing on common pitfalls in life with insurance planning and how to effectively navigate them for the benefit of their clients.

In addition to the presentation, the Jewish Federation honored Mitchell E. Benson of Savran Benson LLP with the Edward N. Polisher award. Another significant highlight of this year’s seminar was the introduction of the Jewish Federation’s endowments program’s new name – the Jewish Community Foundation. This rebranding signals a new chapter in the ongoing efforts to build a strong and sustainable future for the Jewish community in Greater Philadelphia and in Israel.

“Now, as the Jewish Community Foundation, we look forward to growing and deepening our collaboration with professionals like those attending the Bronstein Seminar, building a lasting foundation for generations to come,” said Brier.
