The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to share several opportunities to receive funding. Below, you will find information about our various funds, which support unique areas of focus. As you will see, applications for our main funds are now open or opening soon.

 

Women of Vision Fund

Women of Vision, Philadelphia’s Jewish Women’s Foundation, impacts the lives of self-identifying Jewish women and girls across generations and geographic boundaries through strategic grantmaking, advocacy and educational programs leading to social change and social justice.

 

The Women of Vision Fund is an endowment fund which alternates annually between awarding grants to organizations in Greater Philadelphia and in Israel. Women of Vision will be considering proposals from national and local organizations that impact the Greater Philadelphia area for funding in FY27 and FY28.

 

The committee will consider grants based on the following priority areas: health and safety, financial security, and empowerment that impact Jewish women and girls. Jewish Federation Real Estate Fund
Apply Now: Applications Open Through Nov. 20


The Jewish Federation Real Estate (JFRE) Fund significantly contributes toward tangible and enduring capital needs aligned with the Jewish Federation’s priorities.

 

The JFRE Fund provides grants to Jewish-focused nonprofits specifically for real estate and capital improvement needs.

 

For FY27, JFRE is prioritizing grants for security-related infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the safety for those utilizing the funded properties. Non-security related proposals may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To learn more about the JFRE Fund and to apply, click here.

 

Bernard and Etta Weinberg Family Fund
Invitation Only: Applications Open Through Nov. 20

 

The Bernard and Etta Weinberg Family Fund is currently the largest restricted fund of the Jewish Federation with approximately $23.8 million in assets and $9.8 million granted since 2010. The fund directs money to support programs Etta cared most about: geriatric counseling and care management (50% of grant), older adults (33% of grant), and Jewish education (16% of grant).

 

Requests for support must align with one of the three identified areas above and identify specific and measurable outcomes. Health and human services in Israel will also be considered if funds are available.

Jewish Community Fund
Applications Opening Soon: Nov. 2 - Dec. 4

 

The Jewish Community Fund (JCF), the core of Federation’s Annual Campaign, supports organizations working locally, in Israel, and around the world to address critical communal priorities. Grants will primarily be general operating support with additional capacity-building initiatives being awarded as funds allow. All proposals are evaluated based on alignment with Jewish Federation’s mission, demonstrated community impact, fiscal health, and measurable outcomes.

Need-Based Camp Scholarships Fund
Applications Opening Soon: Nov. 2 - Dec. 4

 

The Jewish Federation provides need-based scholarship assistance in the form of block funding to camps, so they can help offset the financial burden tuition can be for many families. Camps can then distribute scholarships directly to the families requesting assistance. 
 

This funding is provided through the Jewish Community Fund, detailed above.  If you received scholarship funding for summer 2025 and/or are requesting funds for summer 2026, the application will also serve as a report for last summer.

Center to Combat Antisemitism Microgrants

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Center to Combat Antisemitism, led by the Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), is offering microgrants for organizations seeking to host one-time, non-recurring programs or events that raise awareness about the reality of antisemitism and equip the community with tools and knowledge to combat it.

 

These grants aim to support innovative, community-driven initiatives that foster dialogue, strengthen advocacy efforts, and promote unity across diverse communities.
