‘The Ring,’ a Tale of Survival Movie, Hebrew with English Subtitles

The Ring is a poignant tale of survival, redemption, and family inspired by true events. In 1944 Hungary, a young Jewish mother saves herself and her infant son from deportation by bribing a soldier with her cherished ring. Who Will Bear Witness? The Future of Holocaust Education Through Technology

How will we impart the lessons of the Holocaust when all the eyewitnesses are gone? Creative Director Ken Winikur's work includes documentaries, virtual reality and interactive media, such as Dimensions in Testimony developed by the USC Shoah Foundation. He has worked with several major Holocaust museums on their exhibits. In this presentation, Winikur will explore current trends in educational technology, including virtual reality, the evolution of the visitor journey, and the increasing expectations of “experience” over information. TikTok Tova: Voice of Survival – Combating Antisemitism and Advancing Holocaust Education

This event offers a rare and powerful opportunity to hear from Tova Friedman, a Holocaust survivor who was a child in Auschwitz. Meet Students from Tzameret: Israel's Elite Military Medicine Training Program

The Tzameret program within the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's (HU) Faculty of Medicine exclusively trains students to become military physicians for the IDF. Men and women from across Israel are accepted to this competitive program and earn a medical degree while becoming officers who will serve a minimum of five years in the army as a physician in a combat unit. Philadelphia is one of six cities worldwide to welcome these students each year for special training.
