In the wake of political turbulence and still reeling from the violence of May 2021, these elections come at a turning point for shared societies in mixed cities. Learn from experts what citizens are voting on, what issues are most crucial, and how the Abraham Initiatives is elevating the voices of both Jews and Palestinians seeking peaceful coexistence. Volunteer tasks include raking, picking up trash and clipping overgrown vines. The cleanup will end with a memorial service to honor all of those buried. Music historian, conductor and former KHN member Lewis R. Baratz will shed light on the music and the ethical contradictions of a key founding father of the United States. The presentation will include slides and music performed by Lewis' ensemble, La Fiocco. Grade recreated life in Eastern Europe equal to the works of Isaac Bashevis Singer and Sholom Aleichem, with his two most acclaimed works being The Agunah and The Yeshiva.
