Echoes of 1929 in a Post-October 7 World | Ghosts of a Holy War Book Release 
Sunday, Oct. 20 | 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History

Award-winning journalist and author Yardena Schwartz will discuss her new book, Ghosts of a Holy War, with the President of Gratz College, Zev Eleff. In this program, she will explore Jewish life in British Mandate Palestine, the tensions that led to the massacre, and the parallels to our post-October 7 world. Rebuilt from Broken Glass

Fred Behrend and Larry Hanover will speak about the book and documentary, "Rebuilt from Broken Glass: A German Jewish Life Remade in America." Fred Behrend witnessed the flames of Kristallnacht in 1938 at age 12, seeing synagogue after synagogue on fire, and was soon fleeing Nazi tyranny.
