The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce that Jennifer Brier is the new Chief Planned Giving Officer. Brier leads the Jewish Community Foundation, recently called the Endowments Program.
Brier began her career at the Jewish Federation in 2006 as an Endowments Officer. In 2020, she was promoted to Director of Planned Giving and Endowments. Since that time, she has ensured that planned giving is at the forefront of every donor’s mind when they are looking to make a gift to the Jewish Federation.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to expand Jewish Federation's focus on planning for the future needs of our community here in Greater Philadelphia, in Israel and around the world,” said Brier. “I look forward to bringing a planned giving perspective to the highest levels of our organization to help us create a future where the generations that come after us can live proudly and safely as Jews.”
As the head of the Foundation, Brier will focus on elevating and creating more visibility for planned giving and endowments, which are vehicles of giving that will ensure the organization’s and the Jewish community’s future. She will also connect individuals, synagogues and local Jewish organizations with the philanthropic advisory services that the Foundation provides.
Brier is currently working with the Jewish Federation’s professional team and lay leaders in shifting the fundraising approach to be more holistic. She provides training and coaching to the Jewish Federation’s fundraising team to integrate planned giving into donor conversations through accessible approaches for all ages and backgrounds.
