Purim celebrations across Greater Philadelphia brought together over 1,400 family members and friends to enjoy carnivals, masquerades and, of course, plenty of hamantaschen.

“Purim is a holiday filled with joy,” said Lori Rubin, Director of Leadership and Governance at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. “With the current war and the direct impact that it is having on our brothers and sisters in Israel, it was important for the Jewish Federation to bring the community together as a reminder that we are not alone.”

The Jewish Federation’s Kehillot (neighborhood groups) and NextGen (young professional network) hosted and partnered on events throughout the Greater Philadelphia region to celebrate the Jewish people’s survival as told in the Book of Esther.
