The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Foundation hosted its 31st Annual Solomon and Sylvia Bronstein Seminar for Professionals on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at The Ballroom at the Ben in Center City, Philadelphia.
The event brought together 100 professionals in the estate planning industry, including attorneys, accountants, trust officers, financial advisors and insurance professionals. During the seminar, attendees networked with industry peers, heard about the work and impact of the Jewish Federation and gained knowledge from nationally known experts.
“Each year, the Bronstein Seminar serves as a cornerstone event for our region’s trusted advisors,” said the Jewish Federation’s Chief Planned Giving Officer Jennifer Brier, Esq. “It’s a privilege to gather such a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to excellence in their fields and recognize the profound impact that philanthropic planning has on strengthening our local Jewish community.”
Attendees enjoyed breakfast and listened to keynote speakers James I. Dougherty, Esq. and Stephanie Loomis-Price, Esq. as they discussed “SLATS: Ethical, Practical, and Tax Considerations with Planning for Married and Divorcing Couples." Both speakers are nationally recognized leaders in their fields.
In addition, the Jewish Community Foundation honored Paul L. Feldman, Esq. with the Edward N. Polisher award. Presented each year, the award recognizes an outstanding estate planner who has provided distinguished service to the Jewish Community Foundation. Feldman is the founding partner of Feldman, Feldman & Collier, and has a high-impact career dedicated to public advocacy and community service.
“Paul is a role model to many professional advisors in our community” shared Amy S. Ufberg, last year’s award recipient and chair of the Professional Advisors Network Committee. “His deep legal acumen, his belief in the mission of the Jewish Federation and his championing of it to the people he serves, make him extraordinarily deserving of the Edward N. Polisher Award.”
