Jewish Federation Grantee Joins National Initiative to Empower Employment

Written by Jewish Federation Staff | Feb 28, 2022 5:48:00 PM

JEVS Human Services, a Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia grantee, now provides an expanded network of employment services in collaboration with the new Project EM initiative. Project EM: Empowering and Employing our Community was launched in January 2022 by the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA), in partnership with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).

JEVS is one of 19 NJHSA member agencies administering and supporting the national project with the support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. The goal of Project EM is to ensure that no matter where someone is on their career path or where they are located geographically, they can get the support they require to get a job – or a better job – free of charge.

Under the Project EM initiative, job seekers utilizing JEVS Career Strategies and Helping Hands can access interactive workshops, technical skills training, financial literacy sessions, resume writing assistance, and personalized career coaching, as well as connections to local employers. While administered by Jewish organizations, it is open to anyone and everyone. The Jewish Federation is a proud supporter of JEVS and its programs.
