The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Director of Community Development Max Moline has recently been accepted into the seventh cohort of the highly competitive Wexner Fellowship Program. Over the course of the three-years, Max and his 14 other fellow colleagues will learn leadership skills and tools for developing their careers as Jewish professionals.
"The Wexner Field Fellowship is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me to build my skills, advance my career, and grow my network," Moline said. "I especially look forward to spending dedicated time with a group of impressive, successful, and dedicated peers in an effort to identify both the opportunities for advancement in and the challenges confronting the future of the Jewish community — and to approach them with an eye towards the future."
The Wexner Foundation focuses on the development of Jewish professional and volunteer leaders and Jewish teenagers in North America, as well as public leaders in Israel.
"I am thrilled that Max has been selected to be in the Wexner Field Fellowship program," said Jewish Federation’s Senior Chief of External Affairs Jeffrey Lasday. "Max is an incredible, passionate Jewish communal professional and the Wexner Field Fellowship is just the right program for Max to hone his leadership skills."
Participants for the fellowship program are selected for the cohort based on their past accomplishments, career trajectory and exceptional attributes. At the end of the rigorous program, the cohort will be a part of the Wexner Foundation’s network of more than 3,000 professional and volunteer leaders in North America and Israel.
"Wexner-sponsored leadership programs are the gold standard in recognizing and developing the best of the best in the Jewish communal world, and I believe Max's selection is a well deserved honor, not only for Max, but for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia as well," Lasday continued. “I look forward to working with Max as he continues to go from strength to strength."
Moline was announced as the Jewish Federation’s Director of Community Development last June, overseeing the work of eight Kehillot recently welcomed into the Jewish Federation. Previously, he served as the Director of NextGen where he provided the leadership necessary to thrive in a virtual environment throughout the pandemic. In addition, Moline partnered with lay leadership to launch the Levin Society, named in honor of fallen lone soldier Michael Levin. This new giving level is for young donors who contribute $2,500 annually to the Jewish Federation.
