The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Shira Robin Grundland as the new administrative assistant for the Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC).

“Joining the Jewish Federation offers an exciting opportunity to merge my professional background with my deep passion for community engagement and relationship-building,” said Grundland. “I am eager to contribute to a team dedicated to combating antisemitism through advocacy, allyship, and authentic, open-minded dialogue.”

Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, she worked as administration, communications and development director for Torah in Motion in Toronto, Canada. In this role, she was responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and speakers. She also managed the website and database, led event and program planning efforts, and created and implemented fundraising campaigns. 

Grundland also held the role of division head for Camp Ramah in Canada, where she led and supervised all division staff, developed programs and activities, and served as the liaison between staff, campers, and parents. 

“JCRC’s mission and mantra –  to advance a more just and pluralistic society – aligns beautifully with my shita, or guiding principle that the foundation of tikkun olam, repairing the world, lies in the essential work of interdenominational and interfaith healing.”

In her new role, she will work closely with the JCRC team and various stakeholders within the Jewish community while providing broad support across administration, communications, and project management.
