The Jewish Federation Real Estate (JFRE) group of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia hosted its 13th annual Legends and Leaders event on Nov. 13 at the Crystal Tea Room.

Nearly 600 JFRE members attended the signature event, which celebrated the group’s accomplishments over the past year and showcased the impact of the JFRE Fund, which supports capital projects and security initiatives locally and in Israel. This year, JFRE has allocated nearly $650,000 to 18 projects.

“JFRE continues to set the standard for how real estate leaders can drive community impact,” said Immediate Past JFRE Chair Dan Berger, who was honored for his leadership at the event. “It’s incredible to see how the JFRE Fund translates into real change. Every project we fund strengthens the foundation of Jewish life and will benefit generations to come.”

During the program, Mitchell L. Morgan, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Morgan Properties, was inducted into the 2025 JFRE Hall of Fame. The recognition honors outstanding leaders in the real estate industry who have made significant contributions to their profession and the community. Morgan was celebrated for his commitment to philanthropy, leadership and impact as a national leader in the investment and multifamily properties industry.

“I’m deeply honored to be inducted into the JFRE Hall of Fame and to be a role model for other real estate professionals,” said Morgan. “Philanthropy is very important to me. This is a critical time for the Jewish people post Oct. 7. Organizations like the Jewish Federation and grants from the JFRE Fund are making a real difference, even saving lives. You couldn’t give to a better organization.”

The event also featured rotating breakout discussions, offering professionals a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders on timely topics within the real estate market, such as adaptive reuse, affordable housing, industrial, life sciences and healthcare.

JFRE raised a record $634,000 from 53 sponsors this year through their corporate sponsorship initiative. Click here to view photos of the event.
