Summer is filled with camp drop-offs, travel, pool days and time in the sun. But did you know that this season of fun is also a great time to give back? Many organizations see a drop in volunteers during the summer, which means your help can make an even greater impact.
“My family and I have found that volunteering our time makes a real difference, especially during the summer when many organizations need extra support,” said the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Director of Leadership Development and Governance Lori Rubin. “The Jewish Federation is here year-round to help people get involved in meaningful ways, but summer is a particularly important time as volunteer numbers often dip. We hope to see you at a program in your neighborhood.”
Check out some of the organizations supported by the Jewish Federation that need your help this summer to provide vital resources to individuals and families across the region.
