The Jewish High Holy Days are right around the corner, and for me it’s a time to honor family traditions. Every year, my family gathers together to attend services at our synagogue, prepare and enjoy festive meals and thoughtfully consider the year past and the one to come. It is a period to remind ourselves of our commitment to Jewish values, when we give pause to reconsider our prior actions and take time to right any wrongs. And it’s a time to set a new resolve for the year ahead.

Jewish values have permeated both my personal and professional life. My father was a Holocaust survivor who became a hard-working bakery owner, and instilled in me both the deep importance of including traditions into my everyday life and maintaining a strong work ethic.
