The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Main Event is always a large and spirited celebration, and this year was no exception. Nearly 1,000 people filled the Kimmel Center on Wednesday, November 15th to help us celebrate and honor the leadership of our Immediate Past President Bud Newman. The event décor was an homage to Bud’s farm in New Hope, complete with hay bales, vegetables and even a friendly goat named Gizmo.
Following an emotional tribute to Bud from Board Chair Susanna Lachs Adler and Jewish Federation President and CEO Naomi Adler, guest entertainer Jill Kargman, executive producer and star of Bravo’s Odd Mom Out, commanded the audience’s full attention with her insightful, often witty observations on Jewish life. This record-breaking event was a wonderful tribute to Bud Newman and to the commitment of our Greater Philadelphia Jewish communities.
