The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia recently welcomed Alix Liiv Caplan as the new Annual Campaign Director. A dedicated and instrumental member of the development team, Caplan played a significant role in emergency campaigns, cemetery restoration, LiveSecure and the Civil Rights Mission. Her passion for the Jewish Federation’s mission and relationships with our donors will be an asset she settles into her new role.
"As the new Annual Campaign Director, it is my goal to work with our development team to inspire philanthropic investment in our community by providing unique opportunities for transformational change," Caplan said. "Our team will continue to focus on the development of strong and trusted relationships and serve as expert advisors and relationship managers. We will continue to tell the Jewish Federation story in new and creative ways so that we can show the impact each of us can make to ensure a vibrant Jewish future for many generations to come. "
Caplan began her career as a Jewish communal professional working in policy and grant writing for issues, such as voting rights and human trafficking, at the National Council of Jewish Women in Los Angeles. She then made her way to the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, first working in the Jewish Life and Learning Department and then moving over to the Financial Resource Development (FRD) Department, where she oversaw the Legal and Entertainment Divisions. During her time at the Jewish Federation of Tulsa, Caplan led the Programs Department and Annual Campaign as the Deputy Director of Operations, while also leading the Jewish Federation’s support of Ethiopian Jews.
