The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Daria Barkai as the new Project Manager for Grants and Scholarships for the Strategy and Impact department.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Jewish Federation in a role that combines my passion for philanthropy, Jewish communal work and process implementation,” said Barkai. “During this particularly charged moment for the Jewish and Israeli people, I feel privileged to be part of an organization whose sole focus is to build up the greater community.”
Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, Barkai worked for Differential Ventures as an administrative officer. She was responsible for managing fund administration and spearheading the development of a new website. She also worked as an operations manager for Werk, where she participated in all aspects of the company, from client operations to sales to business development.
Barkai is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Italian. She also earned herJuris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
In her new role, she will work to oversee and streamline the Jewish Federation’s internal processes for grants and scholarship programs.
“The Jewish Federation provides crucial funds to numerous Jewish institutions throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, Israel and elsewhere overseas,” continued Barkai. “I look forward to helping maximize our impact in the community.”
