Last month, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia welcomed Lori Rubin as the new Director of Leadership Development and Governance.
“I am excited to have joined the team at the Jewish Federation as I see so much potential, such as the opportunity to build community, to enrich the lives of others, and to connect people to each other and to Jewish life in Greater Philadelphia,” said Rubin. “In the first few weeks that I have been here I have met wonderful colleagues who have a shared vision of working together across departments and in partnership with other agencies.”
Before joining the Jewish Federation, Lori worked as the Associate Executive Director at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, NJ and previously worked as the Associate Executive Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg and as the Chief Program Officer at Jewish Learning Venture. She has extensive engagement experience in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Since joining the Jewish Federation, Rubin has already delved into the vast community work and initiatives that the organization spearheads. This includes overseeing the Jewish Federation’s Kehillot programming, managing Israel 75’s Mitzvah Day, and strategizing leadership development programming.
“I look forward to building relationships, strengthening the Jewish community across all Kehillot, creating new channels to help people understand the impact the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has in our local community and in Israel, and to enhance engagement with the Jewish Federation's lay leadership,” said Rubin.
