We are delighted to welcome Women of Vision of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s new Chair, Marcy Bacine. Marcy assumed her two-year term on September 1, 2017, following years of dedication to Women of Vision and its mission of investing in women and girls across generations, in order to promote social justice and social change.

At Women of Vision’s Fall Event on September 14th, Marcy lauded the affinity for its impact, and urged all members to participate in its uniquely democratic grant-making process. “Every member of Women of Vision has the ability to involve herself in our work, and every member has an equal vote for the grants she wants us to fund,” Marcy said. “You have a hand in the decisions we make.”

Marcy has served on several Women of Vision committees, including co-chairing the Grants Committee and participating in the development of Women of Vision’s strategic plan. As Chair, Marcy plans to continue implementing the strategic plan and working towards fulfilling the $3 million fundraising goal.

Marcy is also a generous longtime Jewish Federation volunteer who currently serves on the Board of Trustees and on the Women’s Philanthropy Board. Additionally, Marcy is passionate about improving the lives of young children and has an extensive background in early childhood education. She was the very first director of Federation Early Learning Services and serves as Vice President of the board of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation.
