100 Jewish mothers just returned after an week-long trip of self-discovery and empowerment in Israel through Momentum from July 4-11. In partnership with and support of Momentum, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s cohort of 16 participants connected with others from around the world to experience the country, visit our Partnership2Gether cities of Netivot and Sdot Negev, and explore their inner power and strength as women and mothers.
“Momentum was an incredible experience. I never had a strong desire to go to Israel before but going with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and so many moms who are in similar stages in life gave me the courage," said participant Jackie Zivitz. "I had the privilege of getting to know so many different and extraordinary people while seeing amazing sights exclusive to this trip. Additionally, this eye-opening experience made me realize that on future visits to Israel, there will be many more captivating sights and experiences to explore.”
In addition, the Kaiserman JCC and Aish Chaim of the Main Line hosted a cohort of 20 participants.
This mission is part of a year-long program that includes a curriculum focused on a new Jewish value each month, emphasizing the forging of connections with one’s self, family and community.
