Being There for People Like Betty

When 77-year-old Betty’s health insurance did not cover the cost of her hearing aids, she turned to the Female Hebrew Benevolent Society of Philadelphia, supported by the Jewish Federation. In order to cover the cost of the essential medical devices, the Female Hebrew Benevolent Society joined forces with Jewish Family and Children’s Service and Friends of Federation Housing, an organization also supported by the Jewish Federation, to split the cost.
