The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is there for communities locally, in Israel and around the world. By funding vital programs that are aligned with the organization’s mission to Care for Those in Need, Connect with Israel and Global Jewry, and Create a Vibrant Jewish Community, the Jewish Federation fosters an enduring impact for the community at-large and individuals – like Dave, Simona and Bradley.

The Jewish Federation supports programs like Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) to help people like Dave, a 50-year-old with autism. Dave participates in therapy, life-skill and care management programs that empower and equip him to live independently.

“I went to a religious school, so I grew up feeling connected to Judaism and Israel. I knew that when I went to the army, I wanted to formally convert.” - Simona, JAFI- Nativ Recipient 

The Jewish Federation supports the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) to help people like Simona, a Russian immigrant and IDF soldier who wanted to formally convert to Judaism after finding out that she was not considered halachically Jewish. Simona participated in a course to navigate the conversion process in Israel.

The Jewish Federation supports Moishe House Philadelphia to help people like Bradley connect with other young Jewish leaders within Greater Philadelphia. While Bradley thought he would only be in Philadelphia for a short time, he fell in love with the community through Jewish programs and plans to stay and be an active community member.
