Yellow Candle Lighting
Thursday, April 24 | 6 - 7 p.m.
Virtual

Join the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation for a virtual candle lighting to honor the victims of the Holocaust. The event will include a short educational presentation and a brief prayer as we light our candles together. To register, click here

Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media's first ever Jewish Resilience Film and Media Series explores the unwavering fortitude of the Jewish people through cinema and digital media. In an age of rising antisemitism across the globe on social media, in politics, and elsewhere, this new series celebrates the strength and survival of the Jewish people throughout history, from the Golden Age to post-Oct. 7. Crossing Delancey is a charming, humorous and heartfelt story exploring the bonds of family and tradition; the culture clash of New York’s old East Side and new West Side. Isabelle is a young modern, independent woman who works in a bookstore and lives alone on the new West Side. Her irascible grandmother, Bubbie, lives on the Lower East Side and worries that Isabelle doesn't have a man in her life. Bubbie hires a Yenta to help Isabelle find love. JRA Warehouse

Join this month's distribution and help pack and deliver food for low-income individuals across the Greater Philadelphia area. From 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., join JRA Juniors for ages ten and under to pack boxes and enjoy stories and crafts. Starting at 10:00 a.m., packing for ages ten and older will begin. Yom HaZikaron Memorial Ceremony

On Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance), we have the opportunity as individuals, families, and community members to remember, recognize, and cherish the fallen Israeli Defense Force soldiers and victims of terrorism. We invite the community to share images and names of fallen family and friends on our Kir Zikaron (Memorial Wall). Let us stand together, remember and continue telling their stories. Teach PA's Annual Mission to Harrisburg brings Jewish day school students from across the state to Harrisburg for a day of lobbying for scholarships and security funding for our schools! To register, click here.
