Were you swept away by your trip to Israel — or have you always dreamed of visiting? Do you chant “Next Year in Jerusalem” at the Seder table — or are you a fan of the blockbuster Netflix show Fauda? Wherever your appreciation for Israel stems from, you’ll want to save the date for the Main Event, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s biggest night of the year, on Thursday November 15th, 6:00 p.m., at the Kimmel Center.
In honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary, this year’s Main Event will be a celebration of our love for Israel and our long history of supporting our Jewish homeland. The night will include a special tribute to our 70 years of connecting Greater Philadelphia to Israel through missions.
Our featured guest speaker, Avi Issacharoff, is an Israeli journalist who covers Palestinian affairs, and is co-creator of Netflix’s hit show Fauda (“chaos” in Arabic), an Israeli political thriller series that won 11 Israeli TV Academy Awards. And some attendees will have a chance to meet him at one of two exclusive Main Event pre-receptions: one for NextGen and Israel360 alumni and one for Joshua Society members.
As always, proceeds from the Main Event will support the Jewish Community Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. So get out your calendars and save the date for this all-in-one party and homage to Israel! For more information, contact mainevent@jewishphilly.org or 215.832.0843.
High-visibility sponsorship opportunities are available for this event. For more information contact Senior Development Officer Rachel Sigman, rsigman@jewishphilly.org or 215.832.0513.
