Then there’s the most important part: the *megillah* reading, in which we retell our amazing story of survival against all odds, thanks to the faith, bravery and strength of one hero. Or, should we say, one heroine. The story of Esther — the unlikely Jewish queen of Shushan, who risked everything to save her people — reminds us that one person’s courageous acts can truly change the world. It also serves as a dramatic reminder of the [power of women](https://jfed.demo.cshp.co/the-unique-and-significant-role-of-jewish-women-today/) to stand up and lead their communities. With Esther as inspiration, the Jewish Federation created this exclusive storybook for you and *your* communities to enjoy. *Chag sameach!* [Download Strong Like Esther](https://jfed.demo.cshp.co/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/jewish-philly-strong-like-esther.pdf) Share [Share on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.jewishphilly.org/strong-like-esther-e-book-our-purim-gift-to-you&title=“Strong%20Like%20Esther”%20E-book:%20Our%20Purim%20Gift%20To%20You) [Share on Twitter](http://twitter.com/home?status=“Strong%20Like%20Esther”%20E-book:%20Our%20Purim%20Gift%20To%20You+https://blog.jewishphilly.org/strong-like-esther-e-book-our-purim-gift-to-you) [Share by Email](mailto:?subject=“Strong%20Like%20Esther”%20E-book:%20Our%20Purim%20Gift%20To%20You&body=“Strong%20Like%20Esther”%20E-book:%20Our%20Purim%20Gift%20To%20You%20-%20https://blog.jewishphilly.org/strong-like-esther-e-book-our-purim-gift-to-you) ### Sign up for the *Jewish Philly* E-Newsletter [Back to The Latest](https://blog.jewishphilly.org) [Tweets by JFedinPhilly](https://twitter.com/JFedinPhilly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) ## Find us on ![JFGP_KO_rgb](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/JFGP_KO_rgb.png?width=300&height=84&name=JFGP_KO_rgb.png) Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Two Commerce Square 2001 Market Street, Suite 2300 Philadelphia, PA 19103 [215.832.0500](tel:1-215-832-0500) | [info@jewishphilly.org](mailto:info@jewishphilly.org) *The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia welcomes the participation of Jews across the religious spectrum, interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
