Days when the sun never sets and the fun never stops. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5321-copy.jpg) Days of floating in the pool ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_kef-6779-copy.jpg) and days of running until we can’t feel our legs. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_kef-1170-copy.jpg) Laughing ‘til we can’t feel our cheeks. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_ramah-6302-copy.jpg) These are days of adventure, learning and relaxing. Of endless rounds of singing *Im Tirtzu*. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5905-copy.jpg) Of smiles, science experiments, hikes and bikes; ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_ramah-6551-copy.jpg) of aerial acrobatics and lying on our backs finding shapes in the clouds. Gaga games and color war, *Kabbalat Shabbat* singalongs. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5204-copy.jpg) Days of “look at this bug” and “look at this dive.” ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5483-copy.jpg) Of giggles and friendship. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_ramah-1056-copy.jpg) These are the hours, the days, the weeks. Stories, art, handball and paddleboards. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_ramah-6475-copy.jpg) We practice saying *todah* and *bevakasha*. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5750-copy.jpg) And on long, languid summer afternoons, we learn generosity, compassion, strength, and wisdom. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_kef-6755-copy.jpg) These are the days that never end, and that in hindsight, go by too quickly. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5586-copy.jpg) These are the days that add up to become a life. ![](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/1707_jewishfederation_campharlam-5533-copy.jpg) Share [Share on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.jewishphilly.org/summer-camp&title=An%20Ode%20to%20Jewish%20Summer%20Camp:%20A%20Photo%20Essay) [Share on Twitter](http://twitter.com/home?status=An%20Ode%20to%20Jewish%20Summer%20Camp:%20A%20Photo%20Essay+https://blog.jewishphilly.org/summer-camp) [Share by Email](mailto:?subject=An%20Ode%20to%20Jewish%20Summer%20Camp:%20A%20Photo%20Essay&body=An%20Ode%20to%20Jewish%20Summer%20Camp:%20A%20Photo%20Essay%20-%20https://blog.jewishphilly.org/summer-camp) ### Sign up for the *Jewish Philly* E-Newsletter [Back to The Latest](https://blog.jewishphilly.org) [Tweets by JFedinPhilly](https://twitter.com/JFedinPhilly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) ## Find us on ![JFGP_KO_rgb](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/JFGP_KO_rgb.png?width=300&height=84&name=JFGP_KO_rgb.png) Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Two Commerce Square 2001 Market Street, Suite 2300 Philadelphia, PA 19103 [215.832.0500](tel:1-215-832-0500) | [info@jewishphilly.org](mailto:info@jewishphilly.org) *The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia welcomes the participation of Jews across the religious spectrum, interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
