On February 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., over 350 caring members of our communities joined with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia to Carry the Light during Super Sunday. Turnout and spirits were high at all five of our Super Sunday locations across the region, as people embraced the opportunity to make calls close to home and to connect with friends, neighbors and their local kehillot. Together, volunteers of all ages from every corner of Greater Philadelphia made almost 10,000 calls and wrote over 520 letters to generous Jewish Federation supporters. The response has been enthusiastic, with over 1,400 pledges made so far — even more than last year.
All those combined efforts mean that we at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia can continue doing what we do best: Serving vulnerable populations, inspiring community engagement and supporting Jewish life and learning. If you haven’t already pledged, there’s still time to make your Super Sunday 2018 pledge. And to everyone who participated, from the bottom of our hearts: Todah.
