The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Janae Ferrigno to its External Affairs team as its new administrative assistant for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Programs (EITC).
In her role at the Jewish Federation, Ferrigno will process donor contributions, distribute scholarships to day schools, and build relationships with school administrators. She will collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure accuracy and efficiency while reviewing scholarship eligibility and awarding processes.
“With the chaos of the world around us, it is crucial now more than ever to provide meaningful education to students in the Jewish community. Contributing in a way that directly supports students and families, not only in funding, but also in opportunities and growth, feels truly impactful and rewarding,” stated Ferrigno. “It is an honor to play a part in providing essential resources to the community.”
Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, Ferrigno worked for M. Burr Keim Company as an administrative assistant and billing specialist. In this role, she handled accounts receivable, which included the processing of wire deposits, checks and credit cards.
Ferrigno also acted as a member service agent and administrative assistant at the Fitler Club, managing guest check-in procedures and facilitating travel arrangements for clients.
Ferrigno holds an associate of arts degree from the Community College of Philadelphia.

The Jewish Federation supports the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools’ facilitation of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This program allows individuals and businesses to easily redirect state tax dollars in return for a 90% tax credit. These dollars provide vital funding to low- and moderate-income families sending their children to Jewish schools.
In January 2027, the Educational Choice for Children Act will establish a federal tax credit program for K-12 education. Individual federal taxpayers will be able to contribute up to $1,700 to scholarship-granting organizations and receive a 100% federal tax credit. This means it will cost nothing to make a donation supporting scholarships for private school students, including those at Jewish day schools. The program is designed to complement, not replace, Pennsylvania’s EITC program, expanding the pool of funds available for scholarships.
