The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Genna Miller as the new community engagement manager. She brings over 10 years of experience in Jewish communal engagement, leadership development, partnership building and nonprofit leadership.

In her role, Miller will support community engagement for the Center City, Upper Montgomery County and Northeast Philadelphia regions. Her work is part of the new Federation in Your Neighborhood initiative, which focuses on strengthening Jewish life through partnerships with local congregations, agency leaders and residents.

“As a lifelong member of the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact of the Jewish Federation’s work and the opportunities it creates to connect people Jewishly,” Miller said. “I’m excited to be part of an organization that has played an important role in the communities I’ve called home and to help ensure those same opportunities and connections continue for future generations.”

Before joining the Jewish Federation, Miller served as regional director of BBYO’s Liberty Region, where she cultivated relationships with synagogues, Jewish Federations, schools, community centers and organizations, families, and lay leaders across Greater Philadelphia.

Miller is also the national president of the Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority where she works to strengthen emerging leaders, facilitate strategic planning, and develop initiatives focused on engagement and community connection.

“Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed bringing people together and helping them find their place within the Jewish community,” Miller stated. “I’m excited to continue doing that at the Jewish Federation, while building new relationships, learning more about the unique needs of our different neighborhoods and finding creative ways to connect people with one another.”

Miller graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in social work and nonprofit leadership from Slippery Rock University.
