The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Samuel Thomas as the new director of the Jewish Community Relations Council.
"I'm thrilled to join the JCRC and apply my background in advocacy and policy directly to the challenges facing our community," said Thomas. "It's an honor to use that experience to make a tangible difference for the Jewish community of Greater Philadelphia."
Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, Thomas was the senior advisor for the Kamala Harris and Joe Biden presidential campaigns. In this role, he served as a key member of the Pennsylvania senior leadership team, where he worked on the campaign strategy and had an impact on the media events and targeted stakeholder engagement.
Thomas also worked for the office of Sen. John Fetterman, where he directed a portfolio of key in-state initiatives, which included the design and launch of the Congressional Directed Spending program. In this role, he also managed the implementation of ADA accommodations.
Thomas holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Temple University.
In his new role at the Jewish Federation, Thomas will focus on continuing to build and strengthen relationships within the Greater Philadelphia community, organizing forums and driving meaningful change through advocacy work and programs to support the Jewish community.
