The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce that Sarah Lefkowitz is the new director of NextGen.

Lefkowitz joined the Jewish Federation in 2021 as a development associate, splitting her time between NextGen and Women's Philanthropy. In May of 2023, she was promoted to major gifts officer, where she implemented several fundraising strategies and initiatives to increase the Jewish Federation’s presence in the community.

“It’s really exciting to be back as the director for NextGen where I began my professional Jewish Federation journey years ago as a development associate,” said Lefkowitz. “I am looking forward to working in partnership with NextGen's leaders to continue building a strong foundation for Philadelphia's next generation of Jewish philanthropists. There are so many young Jews in this area who are looking to invest their time and dollars, and I can't wait to introduce the Federation's work to them.”

In her new role, Lefkowitz will work to create a strong pipeline of Jewish Leaders and philanthropists in their 20s, 30s and early 40s. She will also focus on growing and expanding NextGen's philanthropic societies, the Ben Gurion Society and the Levin Society.
