The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Zenobia Fried as the new major gift officer.
“The work of the Jewish Federation has always inspired me, and I feel genuinely energized to be part of it,” said Fried. “I’m passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating impact through philanthropy and I’m excited to be a part of an organization that uplifts Jewish life, combats antisemitism and strengthens our collective future.”
Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, Fried worked for BBYO, assuming several roles over her three years with the organization. After being promoted from associate regional director, Fried served as Philadelphia’s regional director for liberty, where she developed programs that increased membership and planned regional conventions.
Simultaneously, Fried also held the role of interim community lead for BBYO South Jersey region, where she strengthened community relations, fostered partnerships, managed budgets and cultivated a team environment to enhance program effectiveness.
During her time with BBYO, Fried found creative ways to raise money and attract new participants.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati.
“My Jewish identity is at the core of who I am,” continued Fried. “I was raised in a home deeply connected to Jewish tradition, culture and community, and I feel proud to continue my work in the nonprofit world at an organization that stands so strongly in support of the Jewish people.”
In her new role, Fried will support the fundraising efforts of the Jewish Federation and develop and deepen her relationships with community members, while serving as their philanthropic partner, to help connect their passions with opportunities to make an impact.
