The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce that Andrea (Andi) Cantor is the new Marketing Director.

“In this heightened time of division and hate, I am proud of the work we do at the Jewish Federation to bring the community together,” said Cantor, who officially assumed her role in November 2023.

In her current role, Cantor leads content strategy for print and digital marketing efforts for the organization, including events, donor communication and media.

“I believe in the power of storytelling as a way to understand, heal, grow and connect as a Jewish community and as a Greater Philadelphia community at-large,” Cantor explained. “I look forward to expanding the amplification of our collective narratives as a Jewish people and of the vital impact that the Jewish Federation makes in the lives of so many locally and around the world.”

Cantor began her career at the Jewish Federation in July 2019 as the NextGen Associate before joining the Marketing Department in 2021, where she previously served as a Marketing Account Executive and then Assistant Director of Marketing.

As the Assistant Director of Marketing, Cantor managed marketing efforts across the organization and provided coaching for the department. Among her achievements, Cantor spearheaded the multi-faceted marketing execution of the Israel 75 celebrations and quickly responded on October 7 by launching the digital communications platform for the Philly Stands with Israel emergency fund within hours of finding out about the attacks.

Prior to the Jewish Federation, she was the Associate Editor of Philadelphia Weekly. Previously, she served as the Online Editor of the Philadelphia Jewish Voice and was an intern for the Jewish Exponent. Her writings have appeared in several local, national and international media outlets.

Raised in Greater Philadelphia, Cantor is a Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy High School alumna. Cantor earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College, where she served as the Hillel President and as the Interfaith Union Founder and Co-Chair.

In her lay leadership, Cantor is the Co-Chair of Neshama Hadassah's Book Club and a member of Women of Vision.
