The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Joanna Volpe as the new senior marketing communications account manager.
“I’ve always had a passion for work rooted in tikkun olam, striving to make the world a better place,” said Volpe. “Being a part of the Jewish Federation means that my contributions will support those in need in my own community.”
Prior to joining the Jewish Federation, Volpe worked at The University of the Arts (UArts) as the director of alumni communications and family relations. In this role, she developed and executed a comprehensive marketing strategy to engage with alumni and donors. She was also responsible for writing content for email and social media campaigns, and wrote talking points for the university President.
Prior to her role at UArts, Volpe held the position of digital communications manager at Germantown Friends School, where she supported crisis communications for COVID-19 and led a full-scale website redesign.
Volpe holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from West Chester University. She also serves as a board member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA).
“Working at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia really feels like the perfect blend of my account management skills and my decade of experience in communications roles,” continued Volpe. “I’m especially excited to be doing what I love most: building meaningful relationships and telling powerful stories.”
In her new role, she will help to lead strategic marketing and communications efforts across the Jewish Federation, managing a diverse range of programs, events and campaigns.
