Everyone has their favorite Israel mission memories. For our Jewish Federation President & CEO Naomi Adler, it’s the awesome sight of the Kotel at sunrise. For our Jewish Community Relations Council Chair Arlene Fickler, it’s her memory of standing in the Golan Heights with interfaith clergy as they all absorbed the shocking proximity of Syria below. And for our Jewish Federation Board Chair Susanna Lachs Adler, it’s the time she went to Israel and met her husband-to-be, Dean.
What happened on your Israel mission? Now’s your chance to reminisce and tell your story. At this year’s Main Event, in honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary, we’re celebrating all things Israel, including our 70 years of connecting Greater Philadelphia to Israel through missions. The night will include a special pre-event Mission Reunion for anyone who has ever traveled with the Jewish Federation. We’ll host a special slideshow of your photos. And all mission alumni will wear a special ribbon on their badge, so it’ll be easy to connect with friends, old and new.
Plus, all you NextGen attendees (ages 21-45) will have the opportunity to tell the world your favorite Israel mission memory at our first-ever Jewish Philly podcast booth! Stop by our mobile recording studio at the NextGen pre-event reception on the second floor, meet our friendly podcast hosts and step into the booth for a chance to hear your voice on an upcoming podcast. And of course, let’s not forget one more reason for everyone to get excited for the Main Event: our featured speaker Avi Issacharoff, co-creator of the Netflix political thriller Fauda.
Whatever your Israel mission memories, this upcoming Main Event will be a night you won’t soon forget. For more information and to register for the Main Event, click here. See you there!
