The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia serves as an essential community convener that is here for both of these life moments by providing meaningful opportunities for individuals to give back and a network of resources for those in need.    Since 1901, the Jewish Federation has remained dedicated to strengthening and uplifting the Jewish community – a commitment made possible through the generosity of its supporters.   WHY THEY HELP ![Howard Greenberg](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Howard%20Greenberg.jpeg?width=700&height=700&name=Howard%20Greenberg.jpeg) “The Jewish Federation assists our Jewish community on several levels: senior housing, family counseling, Israel and more. I support the Jewish Federation as a way to strengthen its neighborhood Kehillot program, a grassroots effort that builds the foundation for future generations.” - Howard Greenberg, Board President at Congregation Kol Emet and the past chair of the Bucks County Kehillah   ![Arielle Headshot](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Arielle%20Headshot.png?width=700&height=700&name=Arielle%20Headshot.png) "The health and strength of our community rely on our active participation in it - both with our time and dollars. I give to the Jewish Federation to help protect what we have and secure our future." - Arielle Lechner, NextGen Board Member and Pathway Fellowship Alumni    HOW THEY HELP ![Kleinlife-2](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Kleinlife-2.jpg?width=700&height=700&name=Kleinlife-2.jpg) "KleinLife's Cook for a Friend meals have been a true blessing for us. With me being disabled and \[my partner\] battling cancer and unable to cook, these delicious meals — especially our favorites like kugel and stuffed peppers — are one less thing to worry about, and we’re so grateful for the support." - Claire\*, Kleinlife Home Delivered Meals Member ![Ofanim](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Ofanim.jpg?width=700&height=700&name=Ofanim.jpg) “Ofanim taught me things about myself and gave me tools for life. I didn’t believe I could do it, but I succeeded. I like science now.” - Yonatan\*, Age 10 from the Jewish Federation’s Underserved Partnership2Gether Region of Netivot   \*name changed for privacy   \*\*\* Together, we show the world that we are Here As One.  If you are in a position to give, make your gift to the Jewish Federation before year’s end at [jewishphilly.org/donate.](https://donate.jewishphilly.org/page/46660/donate/1) For individuals who are in need of support, give us a call at 215.832.0509.   Share [Share on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.jewishphilly.org/the-power-of-paying-it-forward&title=The%20Power%20of%20Paying%20It%20Forward) [Share on Twitter](http://twitter.com/home?status=The%20Power%20of%20Paying%20It%20Forward+https://blog.jewishphilly.org/the-power-of-paying-it-forward) [Share by Email](mailto:?subject=The%20Power%20of%20Paying%20It%20Forward&body=The%20Power%20of%20Paying%20It%20Forward%20-%20https://blog.jewishphilly.org/the-power-of-paying-it-forward) ### Sign up for the *Jewish Philly* E-Newsletter [Back to The Latest](https://blog.jewishphilly.org) # Related Posts ## Blog June 30, 2026 # From Local Jewish Federation Real Estate Grants to Federal Investment: What Needs to be Done for Jewish Communal Security ## Blog June 29, 2026 # Upcoming Jewish Federation Events in July ## Blog June 26, 2026 # The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Mobilizes Community Members for Advocacy Day in Harrisburg [Tweets by JFedinPhilly](https://twitter.com/JFedinPhilly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) ## Find us on ![JFGP_KO_rgb](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/JFGP_KO_rgb.png?width=300&height=84&name=JFGP_KO_rgb.png) Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Two Commerce Square 2001 Market Street, Suite 2300 Philadelphia, PA 19103 [215.832.0500](tel:1-215-832-0500) | [info@jewishphilly.org](mailto:info@jewishphilly.org) *The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia welcomes the participation of Jews across the religious spectrum, interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
