along with our partner agencies - to provide relief aid on the ground and to those fleeing the country. 1. Our Ukraine Emergency Fund has grown to $800,000, joining other Jewish Federations across the country in $24.5M in Ukrainian relief efforts. The funds are providing essential humanitarian aid on the ground and helping individuals and families escape to safety.  2. We continue to reach our local Ukrainian community by providing critical support to our ongoing partnerships with agencies, like KleinLife, RSJ Moishe House and the Mitzvah Food Program, who provide for thousands of Ukrainian immigrants living in the Greater Philadelphia area.  3. President and CEO Michael Balaban and Co-Chair of the Board, Gail Norry, will travel to the Poland/Ukraine border on Sunday, as part of JFNA’s delegation. Make sure to follow us on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/jewishphilly) and [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/jewishphilly/) for live updates.  4. To find out more about how the Jewish Federations are working both near and far, watch this [video](https://vimeo.com/686883506/815e725245). In it, you can find Danielle Weiss, our JCRC Chair, and Lauren Danneman, new JFNA Cabinet Chair and member of the Women’s Philanthropy Executive Board.  To find out more about the Jewish Federation’s Ukraine Emergency Fund, or to donate, [click here](https://jewishphilly.org/the-jewish-federation-launches-emergency-fund-for-ukraine/).   \*\*\* You can help your Jewish brothers and sisters in Ukraine by making a gift to the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Emergency Response Fund at [jewishphilly.org/emergency](https://www.google.com/url?q=http://jewishphilly.org/emergency&sa=D&source=docs&ust=1647614191465145&usg=AOvVaw34fSC3ogoeUR3SOG1c-cD7) Share [Share on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.jewishphilly.org/ukrainian-crisis-update-what-you-need-to-know&title=Ukrainian%20Crisis%20Update:%20What%20You%20Need%20to%20Know) [Share on Twitter](http://twitter.com/home?status=Ukrainian%20Crisis%20Update:%20What%20You%20Need%20to%20Know+https://blog.jewishphilly.org/ukrainian-crisis-update-what-you-need-to-know) [Share by Email](mailto:?subject=Ukrainian%20Crisis%20Update:%20What%20You%20Need%20to%20Know&body=Ukrainian%20Crisis%20Update:%20What%20You%20Need%20to%20Know%20-%20https://blog.jewishphilly.org/ukrainian-crisis-update-what-you-need-to-know) ### Sign up for the *Jewish Philly* E-Newsletter [Back to The Latest](https://blog.jewishphilly.org) # Related Posts ## Blog June 30, 2026 # From Local Jewish Federation Real Estate Grants to Federal Investment: What Needs to be Done for Jewish Communal Security ## Blog June 29, 2026 # Upcoming Jewish Federation Events in July ## Blog June 26, 2026 # The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Mobilizes Community Members for Advocacy Day in Harrisburg [Tweets by JFedinPhilly](https://twitter.com/JFedinPhilly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) ## Find us on ![JFGP_KO_rgb](https://blog.jewishphilly.org/hs-fs/hubfs/JFGP_KO_rgb.png?width=300&height=84&name=JFGP_KO_rgb.png) Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Two Commerce Square 2001 Market Street, Suite 2300 Philadelphia, PA 19103 [215.832.0500](tel:1-215-832-0500) | [info@jewishphilly.org](mailto:info@jewishphilly.org) *The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia welcomes the participation of Jews across the religious spectrum, interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
