The Symposium on Antisemitism for Jewish High School Students and Their Parents

Antisemitism is on the rise and our youth are disproportionately impacted by this hate. Join the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Philadelphia, Stand With US and other partners for an afternoon symposium on addressing antisemitism in high schools. This free event will feature panels and workshops led by experts. The symposium will teach both students and parents about the history and advocacy skills they need to be informed on how to navigate spaces when facing antisemitism and how to speak up for the Jewish community. Title VI and Antisemitism A continuing Legal Education Program

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 bars discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin by educational institutions that receive federal funds, including public schools, colleges, and universities. On the basis of their shared ancestry and ethnicity, Jewish students are protected from harassment and discrimination and cannot be denied access to educational opportunities. Join the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Relations Council, the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, an organization dedicated to fostering community, professional development, to learn about using Title VI to address antisemitic harassment and discrimination of students. 60th Annual Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony

For six decades, Greater Philadelphia has shown up each year to say Never Again at our Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony to observe Yom HaShoah. The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Jewish Community Relations Council  invites you to join our 60th annual ceremony as part of this vital tradition to ensure that we Never Forget about the six million Jews who perished in the Shoah and that we continue to honor the survivors living in our communities.
