On May 14, Women of Vision members and guests gathered at the annual Spring Event to celebrate the group’s impact on the lives of self-identifying Jewish women and girls.
“We know who we are as Women of Vision members,” said Women of Vision Chair Andi Barsky. “We are passionate, determined, and we have laid the groundwork to build a stronger, more inclusive and equitable world through our advocacy, educational programs and social justice grantmaking.”
The event, held at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, welcomed 175 attendees and featured entrepreneurial trailblazer Lily Kanter, co-founder of Serena & Lily, in conversation with Brandi Lerner, co-chair of Women of Vision’s Advocacy Committee.
Kanter shared her journey in the home design industry and her efforts to create change for women and girls — aligning with this year’s theme, “Women in Action,” which honors those uncovering systemic issues and championing change.
Spearheaded by Women of Vision Advocacy Co-Chairs Lynne Jacobs and Brandi Lerner, the signature event included hors d’oeuvres, dinner, mingling and a dessert reception.
The event also featured a polling station for members to cast their ballots on which Israeli organizations should receive funding in this grant cycle to advance the mission of improving the lives of women and girls. Members also had the opportunity to vote at home, with results expected to be announced in late June.
As Jacobs shared during her closing remarks: “Women of Vision is about us – the members, the women who are committed to making a difference. You are the reason this community is so strong.”
Women of Vision Chair Andi Barsky welcomed attendees and discussed the group’s achievements over the last year.
Entrepreneurial trailblazer Lily Kanter discussed her journey in the home design industry and breaking through the male-dominated entrepreneurial world.
(L to R) Brandi Lerner, co-chair of Women of Vision’s Advocacy Committee, led a Q&A discussion with Lily Kanter.
Women of Vision members listened to the evening’s program with featured speaker Lily Kanter.
Women of Vision Advocacy Committee Co-Chair Lynne Jacobs closed the evening, reminding members to make their voices heard by casting their ballots for the organizations they believe should receive funding for this grants cycle.
