The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to welcome Jared Rosenbloom as its director of community engagement and governance.

In his role, Rosenbloom will lead the Jewish Federation’s neighborhood engagement initiatives, as well as volunteer development teams to expand community partnerships, philanthropic giving and lay leadership. By stewarding relationships with synagogues, local agencies and key stakeholders, Rosenbloom will align Jewish Federation goals and initiatives with community input.

“As a lifelong Jewish professional and a parent of young children, one of my most important priorities is helping to ensure a strong and vibrant Jewish future,” said Rosenbloom. “I believe one of the best ways to do that is by identifying and cultivating the next generation of Jewish leaders while creating meaningful opportunities for people to come together and experience Jewish joy.”

Part of Rosenbloom’s role includes overseeing long-term leadership pipelines for the Jewish Federation’s lay leaders. He will manage board meetings and governance and nomination committees, guiding volunteer placements across boards while cultivating the Board of Ambassadors to strengthen communal leadership.

This fall, Rosenbloom is helping lead the launch of the new Federation in Your Neighborhood initiative, an expansion of services funding and strategic resources for the region’s neighborhoods.

“Federation in Your Neighborhood gives us the opportunity every day to meet people where they are, build relationships and engage Jewish communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region,” said Rosenbloom. “Every neighborhood has its own unique story, strengths, traditions and opportunities — and we want to get to know each and every one of them.”

Before joining the Jewish Federation, Rosennbloom was the development director at Repair the World, where he led fundraising efforts across multiple markets, built strong relationships with individual and institutional donors, launched advisory councils and major giving societies, and increased individual giving by an impressive 120% year over year.

Prior to that, Rosenbloom was the director of philanthropic engagement with BBYO Liberty Region, where he expanded donor portfolios, increased regional fundraising by 25% and cultivated major gifts.

Rosenbloom holds a Master of Arts in Jewish communal service and nonprofit management from Gratz College and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
